Two situations are contrasted: A very close bodily experience of taking a metro escalator and a detached aerial view of a nocturnal urban landscape as seen from a plane window. In both cases the original footages are rearranged and reduced until a very concise yet dense moving image emerges.사람들이 버스, 기차, 자동차, 또는 비행기로 이동할 때 도시에서 경험하는 변화를 살펴본다. 두 상황이 대비되는데 하나는 다른 사람들과 매우 가까이 접촉하게 되는 붐비는 지하철의 에스컬레이터 모습이고 다른 하나는 비행기 창을 통해 멀리서 보이는 도시의 밤 풍경이다. 나는 영상이 매우 축약되고 조밀해질 때까지 두 원본 장면들을 재배열하고 축약하였다. |
